GUIDED ROUTE LLAGUNA DE LA ENCANYISSADA

Service Description

An extraordinary scenic route to enjoy the great diversity of ecosystems (fauna, vegetation, sea, rice fields, etc.), mainly from the viewpoints we'll encounter along the way. We'll start from the Bicis Delta Natura center located in the town of Poble Nou del Delta, a charming Mediterranean-style town with landscaped streets, whitewashed houses, and open interior courtyards. A farming, fishing, and tourist resort surrounded by rice fields, amidst natural spaces such as the Bahía de los Alfaques, the Encañizada lagoon, and the Tancada lagoon. We will continue towards the Encanyissada Space, a wetland area formed by the Encanyissada, Clot, and Noria lagoons, until we reach the Casa de Madera museum by bike. This house was built in the late 1920s by a group of hunters attracted by the large number of birds that inhabit this natural area. This center, now a museum, houses one of the most representative collections of the Delta's bird species. In front of the museum, we find a viewpoint with a wide view of the Encanyissada lagoon. We will continue the route along the bike path, circling the Encnayissada lagoon, the largest lagoon in the Ebro Delta. During the tour, we will find ourselves at Pantena. We will learn firsthand about a traditional fishing technique considered one of the oldest in Europe. After visiting the Pantena, we will continue the route until we return to the Bicis Delta Natura center in Poble Nou del Delta. After the bike route, we will take advantage of the opportunity to explore the town on foot and head to the Pati d'Agustí Restaurant located in Poble Nou del Delta. This restaurant serves a wide variety of rice paellas and typical dishes. Helmet and map included. Accessories can be purchased and rented at the store. Activity subject to weather conditions.
